"A lovely old world property with delightful gardens. This was an overnight stay as we headed south after doing the NC500. Hazel and her family were really welcoming and genuinely friendly. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious with a good bath/shower etc.Parking was easy and the location was easy to find with great directions. The local pub was an old world pub with good food and friendly service, just a short walk from Stafford House."

"Very welcoming to a very comfortable room. We took dinner at one of the local pubs - but be early as they do stop serving food. Ample parking - although I think it was very quiet. It was an icy night - and unfortunately, the heating failed, so it was chilly in the room. Nice and clean - bathroom too."

En-route from the Scottish Highlands to Kent - it makes an ideal overnight stay with a good evening meal available if you want one. Pooch-friendly Room 11 is lovely. "We used this cute little cottage as a stop off on the way to Scotland. Loved the views from the garden and having breakfast on the terrace while watching the sheep with their lambs. Close enough to Keswick for amenities but far enough away to be very peaceful and quiet."
