"I checked in very late 11pm. I had rung ahead and I was met by Ishwar the owner with a friendly smile. He even asked if I had eaten? A friendly place owned and managed by Ishwar and his wife Sabita. This was my first stay but I will definitely look at staying there again."

"We spent a one night stay at Armathwaite Hall Hotel and immediately wished it was for longer...The reception staff were exceptionally welcoming, indeed all staff were friendly and helpful. Fortunately, the Lake View resturant was open for dinner during our stay; the food was delightful, well presented and perfectly proportioned. The spa was lovely, especially, the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the gardens; which seemed a big hit with all of the guests...Overall we had a wonderful, restful stay and we fully intend to return in the very near future."
