"A somewhat cold environment in terms of the environment - maybe due to its cavernous size. The bedroom felt it belonged to a former age. Far too few electical sockets. The dead lizard in the room was a bit of an unexpected surprise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport was useful with all the luggage - but a bit quirky when departures backs on to the hotel The big plus for an early riser was the 7-11 in the nearby multi-storey carpark. "

"We only spent one night, but were welcomed warmly and enjoyed our nicely appointed and spacious room. Good shower, comfy bed, and only 10 minutes away from the airport. The shuttle service was prompt, both in picking us up from the airport and then driving us back there for our flight home. And the schedule is often enough to get folks to their flights on time, no matter how early or late. We also enjoyed dinner in the Crystal dining room, which was good food, and then the buffet breakfast. We were there for breakfast right when it opened at 4 am, so not everything was up and running, but enough was there to get a good meal, with lots of variety of breakfast, salad, and drinks. Overall, 10/10, would overnight before a flight again!"

"Great location on the river! The rooms feel a little dated and the tech was seriously in need of updating!! Staff and breakfast were other highlights. Classic Peninsula service. The lobby bar was also great. "

"This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. The room had a very strong moldy smell that was impossible to ignore and made it uncomfortable to stay in the room for long periods. For a hotel that markets itself as a 5-star property, this is completely unacceptable. Even more concerning was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The shower, bathtub, and toilet were visibly dirty and clearly had not been cleaned to an acceptable standard before our arrival. Hygiene is the most basic expectation in any hotel, and certainly in one claiming a 5-star rating. The overall condition of the hotel feels extremely outdated and poorly maintained. While this property may have deserved a 5-star rating many years ago, today it unfortunately does not even meet the standards of a typical 2-star hotel. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the cleanliness and maintenance issues urgently, because the current condition does not match the expectations set by the hotel’s advertised rating."

"We stayed here during our last 5 nights in Bangkok. We checked a lot of reviews before booking and we agree with those reviews. This Hotel gives a feel like your in a 5 star. Libby is grande. Staff was very helpful always. Even though we checked in very early by the end of checking in a room was read so they gave us rhe key and even brought our bags up for us. Room was spacious and clean. Staff cleaned the room everyday. Pool was amazing. Only thing I wasn't impressed with was the pool cocktails and food. Cocktails tasted water downed or just standard amount of alcohol. And the 2 food items we order, one we had to send back and the other was small portioned and not very tasty or impressive. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It's a bit walk to main road but they do have a tuk tuk free service to take you there. From the main road not a far walk to BTS or MRT or Asok and a nice night food market. Great value over all for the price we paid."

"Katathani Resort is beautiful. The property is amazing with a great vibe. Beautiful beach. Has easy access to some stores in walking distance although it’s not close to the nightlife entertainment. "
