Couples and families looking for affordable accommodation in Stroud will find the town's country inns and B&Bs offer great value-for-money accommodation and something a little bit different from generic chain hotels. Many provide a complimentary breakfast, whilst some have their own restaurant and bar where you can enjoy a home-cooked meal. You'll also find 17th century manor house hotels and independent hotels in the town and surrounding area - there's even a hotel which was once a convent in the 18th century, offering characterful accommodation, but without the early-morning ecumenical salutations!

Stroud's Attractions are Fun for All the Family

Stroud may be small, but what it lacks in size it more than makes up for with its selection of activities for the whole family. Located in the grounds of Stratford Park in a 17th century wool merchant's house, the museum houses more than 4,000 objects and, for some strange reason, is home to one of the oldest lawnmowers in the world!
