"This has been my favourite UK staycation! The hosts were so lovely and kind. The rooms were clean and have everything you need with a few extra touches like dressing gown, heaters/hot water bottle and tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast was soo tasty! The location is perfect and not too far from everything..lovely views of cheviot hills. I have nothing negative to say...it was the perfect stay! Thank you! I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Northumberland!"

"A lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world. We stayed in one of the accessible rooms, so can’t comment on the other accommodation, but our room was clean, if a little dated. The real positives were the staff, genuinely lovely and welcoming – along with excellent food and a great selection of local beers on tap. "The hotel was spotless The room we stayed in was really impressive Sam was a delight, he was really helpful at the reception The breakfast bar was really well stocked The location in Alnwick was perfect we will definitely stay here again when we visit the town"

"Nice large room, and quiet, although alongside A1. Bed and pillows a little too firm for my liking, and was woken at 1 am by a very noisy group of women thumping and talking loudly down the corridor - not comfortable enough to go back k to sleep again, but the noise was not the fault of the hotel. Generally a good place to stay, nice food and a decent breakfast."

"Accomodation & food - both high quality but overpriced. Staff inconsistent some great, others verging on rude (we felt almost an inconvenience!). Our main issue was with the hot tub. We had booked a more expensive room purely to make use of the hot tub. This was a special treat 1 night stay after cancer treatment. The hot tub was only 34 degrees- not warm enough to use all evening. So, we paid a lot extra for a hit tub we couldn't use. I complained about this during the stay, at check out, and a few weeks later when hotel asked for feedback. I was told it had been passed to management. We have never heard anything back."

"Great, friendly staff and easy to park and the room was a good size for a single. Only marked as 3/5 as room was above the kitchen extractor fans which were only turned off between 9.30 - 6.00. So if you book as a single remember the earplugs! Would happily return but maybe check booking to ensure it’s not that end of the hotel. Gluten free options well catered for at breakfast but evening options are limited."

"Classic room bed could do with a topper. Pillows very soft. Didnt feel extractor fan working properly. Had a lot of difficulty shutting the window. Shower pressure not the best bit nice to have a decent sized walk in. Walls between rooms very thin. Generally everything was clean. Nice biscuits. Checkin out was great. Easy parking. Would have liked plug sockets next to the bed rather than behind Loved the lions book shop on site. Olympic room for breakfast was stunning but very cold first thing. Breakfast decent quality but not enough choice from a continental perspective. Juices not great quality . Black pudding nice touch but no hash browns/fried potatoes. Mushrooms cooked well."
