"Beautiful location and wonderful hosts. The sound of the ocean water was very relaxing from our room. Had an amazing breakfast in their garden. Highly recommended. "
"Great location and interesting surroundings to get away from the hectic city for a bit. However, do not go "off-season" as almost all the activities you go there for (fine food, wine tasting) was unavailable. They should just close the hotel off season to avoid disappointing guests. The staff were unfailingly polite while not offering very much. All in all, there was a stingyness with this property and experience."
"The apartment looks nice and it is very spacious. There is a bedroom and a loft and a couch for sleeping. Murano is a great location for visiting venice in the tourist season as you get away from the tourist pressure in the city center and feel like you are part of the local community. With a vaporetto 7 day pass you get around anywhere easily. The appartement was clean except for lots of dog hair on the couch. It has a moldy basement kind of smell you notice when you enter, but i guess many of...

"We liked pretty much everything about this hotel, with one minor exception: the elevators. We needed to take two elevators and some stairs to reach our suite. But it was fun in the end."
"The location was amazing, right next to gondola rides. Very accommodating when I explained I couldn’t do stairs, they changed our room. Close to everything and they arranged for our water taxi to pick us up right at our hotel. Very good experience. "
"Still good location even though you will need to take the vaporetto (boat bus) or people mover (tram) to get to venice centre. No restaurant around the area and decent mercato, so if you like having snacks or drinks. Please buy them at the city centre and take them in to your room. The hotel offers somes snack but very limited choices. "
"Hotel Abbazia was a gem—super conveniently located to public transportation (railway station and Piazzale Roma) and the Grand Canal but set back on a quiet side street. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. Room was great—comfortable bed, effective AC, reasonably priced."
Where can I find the best nightlife in Small Islands of Venice?
The Small Islands of Venice, situated in the enchanting Venetian Lagoon, are a charming escape from the bustling crowds of Venice itself. While these islands are primarily known for their serene beauty and picturesque surroundings, the nightlife is more subdued compared to larger cities.
On the islands, you can enjoy intimate evenings at local bars and trattorias, particularly on Burano, which is famous for its vibrant houses and lace-making heritage. Here, you might find a few quaint wine bars offering local wines and light bites, great for a relaxed evening.
Murano, renowned for its glass-making, also has some lovely spots where you can sip on cocktails while enjoying the beautiful views of the canals. The atmosphere tends to be quieter, focusing more on enjoying good company and the unique surroundings.
If you're looking for a more lively atmosphere, consider taking a short boat ride back to Venice itself, where areas like Campo Santa Margherita and the Rialto area offer a broader selection of bars, clubs, and dining options that stay open late into the night.
