God area , but a little too far from attractions. Staff was Ok, not able to give directions or suggestions. They did their job of checking in and checking out.
Taxi service not bad in Bangkok, so we got around ok. The subway station is not too far if you want to venture out on your own.

Had a lovely stay here- after leaving a noisy hostel. The hotel was quiet and lovely- rooms were always clean and had an apartment feel to them. The hotel staff were very helpful- as a 21 year old female solo traveller they assisted me with everything they could- from tours, to helping me organize what to do on my free days in Bangkok, to calling me taxis and explaining in Thai where I needed to go. So helpful. Pool is lovely and food was nice (one of the coolest parts of the the hotel was calling room service for food and not having to pay extra for it! After traveling on the go for six months, I can tell you this is something that is rarely done!)
It is a wonderful hotel and it's in a quiet area of Bangkok- so you're guaranteed a decent night sleep. 7/11 is also close by (5 min walk) if need be. Not far from Silom road (15 minute walk).
I chose this hotel because it was reasonably priced, had great reviews and was in the area I wanted to stay. Those reviews were accurate! Though no taxi drivers seem to have heard of it ( ask instead for Narai hotel which is directly next door and is known to taxi drivers), the rooms are spacious and comfortable, good bathroom facilities and it's quiet and clean. The hotel staff are efficient and helpful. My first time in this hotel and will definitely return
Stayed here twice in November. The Hotel was very trendy and the lobby looked like a stylish hipster bar which was a pleasent addition to our tour of south east asia. The stay were, however, a little more interesting in posing behind the bar than attending to customers. However, all-in-all I would recommend the hotel- the room had a lovely view and lots of space and again was very stylishly decorated with a great view of downtown Bangkok through the floor the ceiling window. The location was good for touristy night markets and "street" food although, I suspect, not particualry authentic "street" food. It was also a short walk away from the tube station but as the tube didnt really go near the tourist sites we never used it.
To summarize: good hotel, nicely decorated, great location, staff ok
As a New Yorker , this hotel is a great if you compare it on western standards, location was great, close to shops and thai authentic restaurants, close to a temple, and walkable on one Bts subway line to bring you areound the city..... Rooms where HUGE and all amenities are included (cant open the balcony glass for safety reasons), there is a gym on the 5th floor and if you want to cool yourself after a hot day exploring this spicy capital of thailand there is an outdoor pool with a bar and panoramic view of the skyline on the 11th floor.... All workers and staff where friendly and hospitable, breakfast buffet was two tumbs up!! From authentic thai dish, to western dish , to asian, europen dish (dont miss the thai soup )..
outside of the hotel there are tok toks, taxi that offer you rides, walkable for money currecy exchange and some agencys that offer tourist trips... Overall this hotel has a great location close to everything , and a safe location, hotel is not for hostel or backpacker seekers, this hotel is more for mature, buisiness, family, couples (luxury meets middle class) type of hotel. ... You in vacation and you want to treat yourself, .. would definitly book this again if i have a chance to go back to bangkok.... enjoy the spicy capital of thailand cheers!!!
The room a little small but still ok for 2 persons. Need to deposit 5,000 baht (SGD$200) before checking into our room. Tissue paper should be put at the room table instead of bathroom as it gets wet easily with dripping water. Shower area should have a sliding glass door to prevent water from making the other side floor wet.
Rather waiting for the Free Shuttle Service to Sala Daeng BTS by the hour , we prefer to walk to the nearest Surasak BTS station which takes around 10-12 minutes. Overall the hotel is clean & comfortable.

Nantra is clean, basic comfortable. Best of all, it is so centrally located in Silom, but quiet as it is located at the end of a quiet soi. Gay friendly and located near the gay soi. Breakfast is rather basic. I lost my key card while in the hotel mysteriously as I could only have left it in the room or at the breakfast table, but it was bever found and I had to pay 1000B which goes into a record book without official receipt. Mmmm...
Hugging the Chao Phraya River, Silom, and Sathorn are home to the full gamut of industries. Considered part of the central business district, the area is also home to the city’s most renowned entertainment and red light area, Patpong. Other distractions include the shopping complexes of Robinson, Central, Silom, and Makro. Expect constant traffic congestion.
