"We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

"Martine and Alain were very welcoming and they have worked so hard to make the gite a happy holiday place. We were lucky with the weather and were able to be outside all the time - it was an unexpected heatwave! There were lots of lovely eating places in Brantome and Bourdeilles, but you do need to drive. The one thing I should say is that it is absolutely perfect for families. If you are travelling with friends, however, you should know that the master bedroom with its bathroom and separate...

"What a beautiful farm for a relaxing stay! Brice was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions of places to eat and shop. He had good English language skills and was very helpful in guiding our still-developing French! There are nearby places, even on the farm, to hike on trails and explore the woods. We ate our meals on a table in the backyard watching the sheep grazing around us. All in all, a beautiful place and time! I highly recommend it!"

"The house itself was perfect for our needs: a family of three and grandparents. In fact there was plenty of room for another couple to stay as well: the photos do not do it justice in terms of the space available. Manuel was extremely helpful and met us in person in the nearby village of Beatric-Buree to guide us onto the exact location: it is some way from the village itself in a tiny hamlet. The house is perfectly situated to explore the wider region and the pool offers sufficient...

"It's well located near gorgeous villages, and the garden is beautiful. We had a lovely meal in the garden as the sun set - the exterior of the house is very atmospheric. However, the interior is in desperate need of modernising. The kitchen is rather make-shift and poorly equipped, and the bathroom is tired. With a bit of thought put in (new kitchen/bathroom) and a good clean, the property could be amazing. But for us the big problem was the steep stairs and unsafe rail at the top of the stairs...

"The property is excellent throughout: comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. The garden, with different seating spots depending on the sun's position and strength, is also extensive. I loved the area too, local towns Brantome & Nontron, the Perigord- Limousin Regional Park and the plus beau village of St Jean de Cole. I should hope to return!"

"A very beautiful house with character and a well-kept garden. The pool was also nice. The welcome was very warm, very nice people. We were particularly pleased with the small selection of regional products that were kindly made available to us for tasting. Thank you very much for that :-). "The hotel islocated in an old abbey but the inside apartments are modern, comfortable and clean. The kitchen and supplies are perfect for a simple meal and breakfast to save money if on a budget. The bathroom was spacious for European standards and the bed very comfortable. "
