They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. There was plenty of space inside to enjoy on rainy days, but the outside was a real bonus. The huge garden and fields around the property made you truly feel part of the country. The owners were really friendly and explained everything you needed to know at the beginning of your stay. Brantome was only a very short drive away and has some lovely restaurants along the river. The garden is delightful with plenty of room, shade or sun according to taste. The property was a little hard to find as the satnav took us into the village, but using Google maps we were able to find it. Un accueil super dans une belle maison qui est située dans un coin tranquil. On était boulversé par les vues et les chemins pour profiter des vélos. La maison est bien équipée avec une ambiance de calme. On se sentait chez-soi. Bernard et Mireille nous a accueilli et étaient charmants. On nous a donné des tomates du jardin( super) et du vin de la région et des biscuits. La maison est située pas loin de Brantome, et il y a de bons chemins si vous aimez le vélo. On aimerait bien revenir l'année prochaine. On a passé des vacances inoubliables dans une belle maison pleine de charme. Merci. ##### Jenny H.
