Authentic construction dating back to 1840, built from local stone and antique terracotta floor tiles, nestled within a large fully enclosed shaded park of approximately 2000 m2\. La Charmette Charentaise is your exclusive gîte, completely independent and private. The grounds and pool are also private, with 24-hour access to the latter. Classified as a 1\* furnished holiday rental, la Charmette will surprise you with its comfort and charm, offering much more than a typical rental in this category. OUTDOORS: Private 9m x 4m swimming pool with locking dome cover and secure cover, terrace, stone bench, sun loungers, and parasol. Covered terrace of 18 m2 adjacent to the house. Outdoor ping-pong table (with 4 paddles!) Free parking area available within the garden. Lockable gate. Barbecue/grill. Vom Check in bis zur Abreise war alles bestens organisiert. Trotz unserer schlechten französisch Kenntnisse hatten wir keinerlei Kommunikationsprobleme. Im Zweifelsfall klappte Alles per E-Mail in Englisch - was will man mehr.Das Haus, sowie das ganze Grundstück waren großzügig, sehr gepflegt, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet. Auch der Pool war einfach klasse, schon wegen der recht hohen Temperaturen. Der einzigste Makel war wohl die „Einsamkeit“. Es gab in der Umgebung (10-15 km) nur 2 Restaurants, die gelegentlich am Abend geöffnet hatten. Maison très propre, tout y est (que ce soit pour la cuisine, les chambres, les sdb). Les deux sbd et deux toilettes sont un plus. Maison bien fraiche (appréciable en période très chaude) et spacieuse (on ne se sent pas à l'étroit, que ce soit dans les chambres, sdb ou autres). Environnement très calme et très agréable, au milieu des champs et près de la forêt. Extérieur très bien entretenu, clos (sécurisant pour les enfants), de la place pour bouger. Terrasse ombragée. Piscine top, très propre, spacieuse, avec transats et jeux. La région est sympa à découvrir (limite entre la Charente et la Dordogne). Bref, nous avons passé deux très bonnes semaines et recommandons ce gite sans problème. ##### dominique w. C'est une région magnifique et paisible. La maison est très spacieuse, récemment rénovée, confortable et en parfait état. La piscine est magnifiquement paysagée, spacieuse et bien entretenue, compte tenu du beau temps nous avons pu en profiter pleinement. La description du site correspond à la réalité, nous avons été bien accueillis. Un voyage à Villebois-Lavalette et Angouillème vaut la peine. Certainement recommandé ##### Ann V.
