They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! We were lucky with the weather and were able to be outside all the time - it was an unexpected heatwave! There were lots of lovely eating places in Brantome and Bourdeilles, but you do need to drive. The one thing I should say is that it is absolutely perfect for families. If you are travelling with friends, however, you should know that the master bedroom with its bathroom and separate toilet is accessed through the second bedroom, which has a washbasin and bidet. If you are travelling with friends, therefore, they will either need to access your room to get to the toilet or else go outside to use the second bathroom and toilet which is accessed from the verandah. It wasn’t a problem for us, but am just mentioning it. There is a television in the master bedroom and one in the kitchen: no living room as such but when the weather is lovely who is indoors watching tv? We didnt switch it on! There are bikes, an exercise bike, table tennis, walks - it’s a lovely area and Martine and Alain will make you feel at home. ##### Berendina N. Tres calme reposant. Les proprietaires tres agréables, discrets et presents si besoin. RAS sur le logement, il ne manque rien pour passer un bon sejour. Très propre.
