"The location is fantastic, and the swimming pools, and buffet breakfast were great. Sadly the hotel is looking a little shabby with mould in the bathrooms, saggy beds, wobbly and damaged furniture, and aircon that was functioning sub par. The room cleaning was very hit and miss, but by far the worst thing was the overpowering fake jasmine smell in the hallways - it made me cough and feel nauseated. The staff are friendly and helpful, though it does take a while to get things done. From talking to the other guests, it sounds like the hotel has been fading over the years, but it still represents great value for money."

"Great breakfast & great staff that provide relaxing & comfortable stay. The location is perfect for accesses to the beach & beachside shops & restaurants. Overall, the facility is well designed for tourists to feel vacation atmosphere. For a bathroom unit, it looks a bit old so it's better to be remodeled to make the facility look perfect."

"The Alantara is a beautiful hotel in Sanur. They offer a free shuttle service into Sanur, but the price of a taxi is very cheap, so we found ourselves leaving the hotel every day to visit the bars and restaurants of Sanur. The staff in the Alantara are just lovely! Polite, professional and cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, towels provided and the area is well maintained. Would highly recommend."

"The hotel is definitely a good option if you are looking for a hotel near the airport (only 30min away). It is a huge complex and it’s amazing to see how well it is managed. Staff was excellent although it don’t start well. In an American hotel chain I was told that they don’t have too many king size beds. Then I was told I’ve been upgraded to a larger room. Upon entering the room it was the same situation which I experience more frequently around the world. A room with facilities for handicapped guests is being presented as an ‚upgrade with more space‘. It was sorted out afterwards but it becomes more a nuisance that I have to mention it explicitly at checkin every time."

"Just a great hotel. Well located with great pool and rooms with large veranda. Quiet area so never interrupted by load music from other venues. Staff were lovely to deal with. Will be returning "

"The main building rooms just feel dirty. We had cockroaches get into our food in the room. We had a really bad room service chicken meal that we couldn’t eat. We left after 2 nights of a 5 night stay. We had already moved rooms twice and they wanted us to move a 3rd time. They get you to sign a form at check in that you aren’t entitled to a refund (if you booked a room with no refund)… this should have been a red flag. They then tried to get me to sign a form on departure stating I wouldn’t be entitled to a refund. We haven’t even asked for a refund we were just happy to get out of there. In fairness- we stayed in the main building, I believe the kids side is newer. A few good pool slides and a kids club are very available at a lot of hotels in the area so I would definitely skip this place if you are reading this. "
