"Stayed for one night, booked last minute the day before traveling North from Switzerland, needed somewhere in the black forest with good check-in/out times and somewhere to securely park the bike (car park right by the hotel, plenty of eyes on it and it's quite a secluded location so no concerns!) - great little beer garden, food in the restaurant was excellent and the breakfast was great - great value and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!"

"The hotel is old, rooms are old, however, it was very, very quiet, safe and clean. The breakfast was excellent, very hearty with lots of variety. A great place to stay right outside of Freiburg with easy driving access to the old city.
We would stay here again."

The location was perfect - lovely hotel in the country. The aesthetics of the hotel suited the locale. The food was superb and the dining ambience (both inside and outside) made for an even better gastronomic experience. The family are professionals in service.
The room was ok. There were 3 things I was not so comfortable with:
- there were only 2 shade curtains which were not wide enough to span the windows so facing the east, sunlight crept in too early.
- There was a tv but way too large...

This hotel was second to none ,we arrived early from strasbourg, the lady who owned hotel gave us a room right away and a map and told us where we could park in Freiburg for shopping ,when we came back later she gave us directions into mountain and forest which is amazing ,the hotel was lovely ,the room very cosy and homely, very quiet ,breakfast plentiful, the girl asked us if we would like scrambled or boiled egg, the lady owner spoke great English ,which was a great help as we were Scottish...
