Wonderful!
We LOVED this hotel. It is a charming, olde-worlde hotel with excellent food, comfortable rooms and helpful and friendly staff. We have been on holiday round Germany, staying in many different places and this was definitely our favourite.

Not At All As Pictured!
We ended up getting our money back. We showed up and felt like we were in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. They didn’t have the correct rooms for us, which worked out because they had absolutely no heat, the rooms looked like they hadn’t been touched in ages. There was 5 women traveling solo on this trip and they tried to put a woman in a room by herself which was a red flag. We all felt super uncomfortable with the person checking us in. When I told him we would not be staying he demanded I tell him where I would be staying which I refused to do. He said he would put one person in a room alone and when I said there still was no heat he kind of blew off the issue. It was absolutely freezing in the rooms (maybe 50F). Thankfully we found a room at a nice hotel. I normally love guesthauses but not this one!

We stayed here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon arrival we were treated like family. We were thirsty after a long drive and even though we didnt order it, were given bread and the hotel’s delicious “schmaltz” spread to tie us over till dinner. The location gave us perfec access to walking the forest trails and vineyards. The room was spcious and clean and the breakfast was varied and fresh and the cheese selection was above average. We ate two dinners at the hotel and what a treat! We had the wild deer served table side and the next night “beef cheeks”. Wow. What a taste of Germany. My only suggestion is to ask for a room away from front as the traffic can be noisy if you have window open. Otherwise, a wonderful stay!

Fantastic hotel & exceptional staff. Recommended
A small, lovely and cozy hotel. Stephanie, the hotel's manager, is an amazing woman. Her welcoming and warm attitude make you feel like you're an extraordinary guest. The rooms are super clean, the breakfast was good, the Wifi a bit weak at the rooms (especially on the balcony). We had plenty of parking space by the hotel. The hotel's restaurant is one of the best in the area and a must to experience. We are planning to visit again next year. Very recommended!!!
