"We enjoyed our stay at this property. Our room was comfortable, air-conditioned and clean. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good. The price was extremely reasonable! One quick note: If you are coming from the train station, you will need to take the water taxi and go over the Rialto bridge on foot, which does not have a ramp. You must carry your luggage up and over the stairs. The Hotel does not have an elevator, so you must carry your luggage up at least one flight of stairs to get to reception and further up if you have a room upstairs. This was not a big problem for us, but just a warning for anyone that is bringing lots of luggage or can't lift and carry their own suitcases. "

"If you are coming in Venezia by car this is excellent place, directly reachable by car, has garage, and public transport (vaporetto) station is less than 100m far away. Hotel is big new, spotless clean. Rooms are not so spacious but big enough. Breakfast was surprisingly good, especially when compared to awful breakfast in Hampton by Hilton New Orleans where we have been few months ago"

"The hotel is so clean with beautiful view on the grand canal in the middle of the shopping areas and just 2 minutes walk from the main train station and walking distance from everything and like 25 minutes walk from the St. Marko (the main plaze). I really recomand the hotel to any one going there, even rooms prices are reasnoble."

"Location was amazing - steps from the Rialto Bridge. The hotel was new and in great condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. We're fussy Americans and we were very happy with our stay. "

"This is a no brainer hotel right next to the train station. The breakfast was extremely good with delicious options, cappuccino coffee machines, and much more with cereal for kids. The room was clean and had air conditioning, smelled great like musk and roses. Shower could be bigger (almost felt like in a cruise shower). None the less all toiletries and hair dryer worked. Be careful of the big step to the bathroom. Lobby is great to sit in after checkout and waiting for train. They also have luggage room, so you can keep your luggage and continue to explore till your train time. Extra pillows and blanket in the closet. It would be great if there was atleast one extra mirror in the room for makeup etc. all in all great comfortable stay. Don’t forget to explore the little garden area outside the breakfast area. Check in was easy, they make photo copies of passport but maybe that is common there. At the end there was some tax/fee at check out per person not more than $2 or $3 per person. "

"We had a great stay and would definitely return. The staff was excellent - very courteous and helpful. Breakfast was great with fresh and hot options. Our room had some age to it, but it was well kept and very clean - and if we wanted brand-new we wouldn't be staying in old Venice. Access to everything interesting in San Marco was steps away. Overall we were very happy with the Hotel Montecarlo and consider it a great value."
