I was late for the check-in for which I was charged $20 in cash. There was no mention of anything like late fee of $20 in the booking. I didn’t had cash so I had to wait for a long time and walk around with person helping me check-in before I enter at the midnight. The neighborhood was really really loud throughout the night and also did not feel safe. There was no temperature control in the humidity of Venice which made it really difficult to sleep well. It was a bit strange but the guy said it was better then the actual property we were suppsed to stay at. Ended up being closer to the train station, which was good for us. The bed sheets and towels was clean but the pillow in the closer had a dirty pillowcase. The kitchen was nice but had cockroaches in it. We were traveling with two children, and after an 8-hour flight delay, we arrived at 2:00 AM. Despite the late hour, the staff welcomed us warmly and could not have been more accommodating, which meant so much after a long travel day. When we left just two days later at 6:00 AM, the hotel again went above and beyond by preparing breakfast to go and kindly seeing us off. These thoughtful touches made traveling with kids so much easier. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a family of four. The location is unbeatable — steps from the Rialto Bridge and right next to the water bus, making Venice easy and stress-free to navigate. This was our favorite stay of our entire trip through Europe. The front desk staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and welcoming.
