"The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We had everything we needed. Location is peaceful and idyllic on the lake and is really easy to get to. We felt safe and secure behind the gates. The bed was super comfortable and the house was super clean. "The Squirrels is in a great location especially if you have a dog. The grounds are absolutely beautiful.The place is clean and all very neat. But very limited on space. It’s is what it is a Shepards hut!!! A must if you are in the area is the Tin Roof Cafe entrance is in the garden centre on the main road to Danbury. Also The Cricketers in Danbury their food is amazing especially Sunday roast it’s a must."

"Very nice quaint cottage everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed very comfy. The only downside for me was the very steep narrow stairs but were manageable. The owner was very nice and helpful lovely breakfast basket left in the kitchen with bacon eggs tomatoes bread butter and milk. A fire made in the grate just needed lighting. I had a very pleasant stay would definitely stay there again."

"A very cosy, comfortable place to stay to explore the surrounding area. Just a few minutes from beaches, local towns and historic places to explore. Lamb Barn had everything we needed for a week's stay and the owners were very helpful and approachable. As others have mentioned the noise from the road was the negative. Dog friendly with an enclosed garden and super dog bean bag that out wee dog loved."

"A lovely, comfortable, well equipped, cottage. A perfect location, with plenty to do. Lots of useful info and recommendations from Jo, the owner. Lovely walks with the dog...a co-op just seconds away in case you forgot something. We had a gorgeous Sunday roast at the Yachtsmans Arms...Maggie, my hungry springer, was welcomed too and even got her own lunch! I totally recommend a trip here..."
