"Bag drop was convenient (once I figured it out!) and self-check in easy! The room was lovely and comfortable and relatively quiet. Location was close enough and far enough away from the buzz. We easily walked to the castle and got on hop on/hop off bus from there. I would recommend this to someone who wants to be close to the action, but with a more neighbourhood feel. Very safe and clean."

"The Scott was incredible. From the moment I stepped inside the staff were available, attentive, and helpful; they really add to this amazing property. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast service was great. Walking distance to City Centre makes this a great location. I was concerned driving onto the University of Edinburgh campus but The Scott is a wonderful hotel, perfectly run and a great place to stay!"

"This place is a gem. We didn’t like our initial room and for a modest fee we got an upgrade to a very nice room. All the staff was friendly and the location can’t be beat. The only negative is the light in the toilet part of the bathroom is on a motion sensor and comes on and off whether you want it to or not. "

"Surprisingly a lot of space in the pods, and they were very comfortable. The property was really clean and the staff was friendly. Perfect for a solo traveler. A+ location too "

"Stayed for one night but was good. Room spacious, was a family room, big double comfy bed plus folding settee bed. Only change would be addition of curtain at small window, as only had vertical blind and this let in early morning-light. Breakfast was good, friendly, helpful staff, good selection fruit, cereals and cooked food. Had the full Scottish which set me up for the rest of the day."
