"Called here after waking the Cumbria way the room was clean and had a bath so after the 73 mile walk it was a bonus..
Staff where nice there’s a bar and they do food and breakfast in the morning we didn’t eat here
Overall 8/10 it just needs updating

"Fantastic outside space staff great breakfast good and rooms are good unfortunately this hotel needs a great deal of money spending on the exterior of the building and the steps to the garden also need attention

"Always a nice place to stay when visiting Carlisle. The hotel is really well cleaned and maintained and the staff are always really friendly and helpful."
"Nice easy stop over on the drive to Scotland. Close to City sites like the citadel. Easy to get meals right at the pubs outside the Hotel, Car parking immediately behind the hotel was all easy for a tired traveller.
Room was basic, bed comfortable, quiet, shower was hot.

"Despite our room being at the top of a flight of stairs( young lady carried our cases) the room was great, beds comfortable & bathroom suitable.The meal in the Bar was delicious & a Breakfast Bap was cooked for us to take with us as we had a bus to catch."
