"I stayed in a single room for one night in March. The room was well furnished and comfortable. There were lots of options in the vegetarian breakfast menu. Breakfast was served in the room. The owners were friendly and attentive. Whenever I return to Penrith, I intend to stay there again."

"Shap Wells was an unexpected gem! The hotel was wonderfully decorated with stained glass and an “old world” feel. The room and hotel was clean and the food was excellent! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking space was generous and we certainly felt safe! Beautiful place to stay with an interesting history!"

"Pooley Bridge is a very small village nestled at the top of Ulswater. It has 3 public house & a couple of small shops. The crown Inn is perfectly placed by the river & in the thick of the village. The only downside is parking a busy sunny days! Staff at the Inn were very pleasant & helpful"
