Ambiance as soon as I walked through the main entrance. Room was spacious and the shower was simple to use and easy to regulate the temperature, which is not always that easy in other hotels. The only minor blip was the bathroom door opened inwards in front of the the wash basin, so you had to then close the door to access the basin.

We stayed at the Fox for 1 night and the staff made us and our dog feel very welcome. The room was beautifully decorated, the bed comfortable and the breakfast delicious. Thank you all at the Fox. We’ll hopefully see you again.

Stayed here many times in various rooms. Always spotless and comfortable.

Cannot fault this Hotel, the staff and amenities were excellent. Highly recommend it.

Booked this motel for one night through Expedia at a low cost price of £38 for 2 Adults and 1 Child. I really wasn't expecting it to be anything more than tacky, but it turned out to be such a fab deal. Just off the A1 you'd expect it to be noisy, but we didn't hear a thing!! I stay here as close to workplace. Rooms are all very comfortable and different. The bar and restaurant are also excellent. This is best hotel in area in my view.

I stayed here 2 nights as I was booking night by night as my husband was in hospital nearby, The room had everything I needed, far more than I expected in a small country inn. Food was delicious and varied. Service was excellent and friendly.

All the staff were extremely pleasant, polite and very helpful. Our room was clean and quiet.

A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.

Charming historic building but inside there was a modern hotel with clean and comfortable, well-maintained rooms. It also has ample parking. There is a pleasant bar area and restaurant. They served a good buffet breakfast with a range of food to suit all tastes (fruit, yoghurt, cereals, bread/toast, pastries, cold meats and cheeses and also a full cooked breakfast). The farm was beautiful and the access to the land was wonderful. There's still some exploring we'd like to do, next time. The room was superb, cleanliness was at a high standard. All staff were welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend this place
