"The good We really enjoyed the staff and the hotel itself. The bad. Not a lot of food options for non Mexican dishes and we had zero hot water in our suite. We talked to numerous staff and they said that there was nothing they could do. We also had to ask 3 of our 7 days to have our mini bar restocked. I know these seem like minor issues but we spend a lot of money to not have a hot shower for a week. "

Plenty of options to stay on the beach, go to the pool party right off the beach, lounge under the sun at a calmer infinity pool at a higher floor or hangout at the rooftop Skybar. "Soooooo...I read reviews like crazy when booking trips so thought I would leave one. To set the baseline we are pretty easy to please and take things as they come. With that said use this info as you see fit for your personnel preferences. The staff at Sunset Beach were more than accomidating!!! Great personnel touch and always engaged!! Mario was our personnel butter and wow what a great person as an individual. Always asking if everything was ok. We had a couple small room maintenance issues...

"What a fabulous stay at the Hotel San Tropico in the Marina area of Puerto Vallarta! Extremely easy to get to from the airport (8-10CAD) and in a lovely, quiet and beautiful residential area. A little far to walk to the grocery store but if you're into walking, it's great. There is a public bus you can jump on that will take you to the main highway for 10 pesos! The stop is about 5-10 minutes walk away, so we always just opted to walk the whole way. The hotel itself is gorgeous - the pool and...

"Everything was perfect right from the time we booked this hotel. Check in was seamless, staff is super friendly and the whole property is spotless. We had a family suite on the bottom floor and it was perfect, lots of room for our 3 young kids. There is plenty of bottled water on each floor, a good pizza shop attached to the building plus a convenience and beer store less than a minute walk up the street. It is a great place for a family, laid back atmosphere and fairly quiet. The pool was warm...

"Room was lovely met our needs . Pool fabulous but it had a lot of rules . Could not bring your own refreshments or food . At a condo I would have thought I could . The walk is exhausting even with the little funicular up the steep part . Staff were always friendly and accommodating as best as they could . Check in was in a separate building, from the pinnacle I was staying at . Over all we did enjoy our stay . Glad we had a car . "

"Adorable villa style boutique hotel. A definite change from AI. Great location. Great staff. The dogs on site (Pinto and Pardo) are absolutely sweet. Friendly no frills type of place that puts you smack in the middle of everything and just a few steps to the beach. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and affordable. Definitely on my recommendation list. "
