"I was going to visit the Brecon Mountain Railway and I needed somewhere close by to stay for the night. Luckily, I chose the Butchers Arms. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The food was filling and tasty and I had breakfast looking across to the start of the Brecon Beacons. The beer was wonderful especially the Butty Bach (little friend in Welsh). "

"No heating working in room and room very small the pub is nicely decorated but the food prices are extortionate ie 2 large prawns £22 for a starter,I ordered the pie and chips for £20 no veg that was extra and it came out as chunks of meat and gravy in a bowl plate with a flaky bit of pastry on top no pie at all and beer very expensive then it called last orders at 9 45pm never go back "
