One of the best hotels we have stayed at, would definitely visit again

Excellent hotel, loved it The rooms are so nice, good toiletries and even a little fridge and the breakfast was absolutely amazing with such good quality produce The bar area with the fire is so cosy and a good choice of drinks The only slight criticism is you could hear people easily in other rooms and the corridor

Made most welcome on arrival. Valerie is the perfect host nothing is a problem.accommadation is very clean with a comfortable bed and a good nights sleep followed by a five star breakfast.would certainly use again

This was our second stay at the Forest and Vale. Our first since 'lockdown' and we were delighted that the hotel was as good as before. Unfortunately, we could only get a standard double room in the 'cottage annexe' No view but this was perfectly comfortable and adequate for our 4-night stay. Breakfasts were delightful, Cooked to order with plenty of choice. Good dinner menu too. The biggest plus point for this hotel though is the staff. We had a great stay at Keep Cottage. The cottage is in a perfect position for exploring Pickering but at the same in a lovely quiet location a stones throw from the old castle. Parking was on the street but never a problem. The cottage was warm, cosy and well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for my sons birthday to go to flamingo land. Property was very clean and well equipped, a home from home. Location was phenomenal, 10 mins from flamingo land and pickering Castle at 5 mins away. Some shops and take aways a small walk. Parking a bit hit and miss but managed to park both nights. Lovely decor and beds were comfortable. Couldn't recommend enough. Welcome basket was a very nice touch 10 out of 10

Great location for what we needed. New inn hotel on doorstep book early dinners to ensure all menu available, very popular for meals. Cottage homely, clean and had all amenities.

Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.
