"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."

"Booked the stay as a present for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay. They noted the food, friendliness and rooms as their highlights and things that made their stay great. The next trip to Penrith will definitely be stayed at the Agricultural Inn."

"Comfortable room, nice restaurant/bar"

"Have stayed at the George several times before and come back for its cosy, slightly old fashioned charm and warm welcome. Comfortable rooms, showers that work, and great breakfasts and meals. Will return again when in Penrith."

"Great stay for a solo traveller. Good location, free parking and very hospitable. Very reasonably priced too."

"Nice good value guest house"

"Great location for pubs and restaurants. House was spotless from top to bottom. Nice touches in the room with homemade cake and chocolate bars to have with your tea/coffee."

"Easy parking, friendly staff, lovely breakfast "

"Beautiful b&b. Fantastic breakfast. Wonderful host. Secure bike storage"

"Great stayed and friendly staffs."

"Really cosy and a lovely place to stay - I stayed on my own and the staff were friendly, the food was good and the room was really comfortable and spacious. The location is great as there are walks starting in Glenridding meaning you haven't got to drive anywhere and it was a quieter area. My only grumble is that it would have been nice to use the bath but it was so grubby and I didn't fancy laying in the tub."

"Absolutely fantastic stay, room was perfect, very clean and tidy, staff lovely and welcoming and breakfast was brilliant! Will definitely stay here again!! "

"A gem of a hotel with lovely location besides Ulswater"

"Fairly basic but clean . Manager was very nice guy . Probably over priced for what it is . But no real complaints for a drop off close to M6"

"A great stay!"
