There are three key things that made our stay here so enjoyable.
Firstly, it is a beautiful, boutique hotel with an attention to detail in the stylish, comfortable and well-equipped rooms.
Secondly, we hadn’t quite realised how perfectly placed the location of the hotel was. It is ideally located to take in Palermo and a moments walk away from the square at the centre of all the action.
Thirdly, all of the staff across our four days were so incredibly helpful and seemed genuinely keen to help...

First off, the location is great! This is a really nice area of Palermo, with loads of designer shops around, as well as nice bars and restaurants. It's a 6 min walk from Teatro Politeama, where you can get on and off the airport shuttle bus and most day trips start from there too. It's about 20 min walk to the old town centre straight down the main road (Via Libertà). Super easy.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights in the La Cala room, which is probably the smallest of the 5 or so that...

Premises are modern and immaculate. Staff try hard to make you feel at home. Lovely breakfast selection. Breakfast area available to visitors at all times to enjoy refreshments, a complimentary local liquor and read some of the tourist books available. We had a deluxe room with a safe, temperature control, fabulous bed and everything we needed.
We agreed it would be hard to identify any area for improvement. We would stay again. Giuseppe the proprietor cannot be more accommodating to...

I love this location - close to the trendy spots but away at the same time. The staff are beyond amazing and friendly and helpful and the hotel is an oasis in a busy city- pool most welcome on hot days too. And the breakfast and roof deck are lovely. I will stay here again the next time I am in Palermo

We had such a great stay here. The room was so stylish and comfortable, and the staff were so helpful in showing us how to get around Palermo. Everywhere we wanted to go was in 20-30 mins walking distance which was perfect.
Thanks to Fillipo who got in touch before our stay via WhatsApp and book us transport from the airport which was super helpful.

Great location, very clean rooms, beds comfortable and staff very attentive. Property secure and safe. Breakfast and lunch menu very good but no real dinner menu which is the only downside but that’s not a problem there’s plenty of excellent restaurants on your door step.

The best areas to stay in Palermo are the historic centre, particularly around the Politeama and Ruggero Settimo areas, or the more residential neighbourhood of Mondello.
The historic centre, specifically the area around Via Ruggero Settimo and Piazza Politeama, is the heart of Palermo's city life. This area is known for its elegant 19th-century buildings, grand theatres like the Teatro Politeama and Teatro Massimo, and high-end shopping streets. It's a bustling, walkable district with excellent public transport links to other parts of the city and beyond. You'll find a wide selection of hotels, from boutique stays to larger, well-known establishments.
For couples who appreciate culture and convenience, staying in the Politeama area is an excellent choice. You're within easy walking distance of many of Palermo's main attractions, including the Quattro Canti and Palermo Cathedral, and you'll have a vast array of restaurants and bars to choose from for your evenings out. This pleasant seaside town is about a 20-minute drive from the city centre and boasts a beautiful sandy beach, known for its clear, shallow waters. It has a relaxed, holiday village feel with a promenade lined with lidos and seafood restaurants.

When is the best time to go to Palermo?
The best time to go to Palermo is during the shoulder seasons, specifically April to June and September to October.
These months offer pleasant weather, with warm but not excessively hot temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the city's historical sites and enjoying outdoor dining. You'll find fewer crowds compared to the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed and enjoyable experience without the intense heat.
For couples looking for a romantic getaway, late spring (April-May) is particularly lovely. The city is in bloom, and the mild evenings are superb for leisurely strolls through the historic centre or enjoying a glass of local wine on a piazza. This period also often sees various cultural events and festivals beginning, adding to the city's appeal.
Families travelling with children might find early autumn (September-October) more suitable. The sea is still warm enough for swimming, making day trips to nearby beaches enjoyable, and the slightly cooler temperatures are more comfortable for sightseeing with little ones.
