We stayed for a week over New Year and had a very happy time here. The room was smashing and the bed very comfortable. Loved the stylish shower room with underfloor heating. The staff were great, every single one, and the hotel is ideally placed for the most popular tourist sights. There are some cracking restaurants in the vicinity (Riche, Nosh & Chow) and the food in the hotel, at the Ling Long, is terrific. We only had their bar menu because our stay was over New Year but really enjoyed it. Wifi disappeared on us for a short while at least once each day, which was marginally annoying, but that's absolutely our only (very minor) gripe.
The incredibly helpful staff assisted my colleague in contacting the airport through all hours of the day to recover his lost luggage. They went above and beyond.
The rooms are very clean, breakfast is amazing, and it is in a great location
Stayed at this hotel for a 2 day break in January. On arrival in the evening we had to wait 5 minuteness at reception before being acknowledged as the one person on duty was engaged in telephone conversation. That was only negative point to be made about staff who were generally very helpful. The room was excellent with comfortable bed in which we had a good sleep after walking around the city in the snow. Breakfasts that were part of our package were good with plenty of variety. Hotel is in a nice district with nice cafes, shops and restaurants close by and is close to an underground station and a tourist hop on/off bus stop. January is a nice time to visit Stockholm when all the Christmas lights are still on.
"great price for a good hotel in a prime location"
hotel is a quick 2 minute walk from the metro making it super convenient to zip around the city. i don't know her name but i checked in on 8/30 at around noon and the woman who checked me in needed a lesson in customer service. i was able to check in so early because i was staying in a a single and she quite rudely remarked that they had plenty of those because not many people travel solo. then when i went upstairs my key wouldn't work to get me into the floor. when i went down to tell her she told me that i had to try again and again. i told her that i considered trying to swipe in over 10 times to be sufficient. after staring each other down for a few minutes, she finally relented and gave me a new key which worked. besides all of that, the room was perfect for a single person. its a simple twin sized room, good for one person for a short stay. bed was comfortable, bathroom was spacious with great water pressure. wifi worked great, was even able to stream. free breakfast in the morning was very good. would definitely recommend to a friend.
Riddargan is a very nice and affordable hotel in the downtown of Stokholm, very nice and helfull staff, nice breakfast, good service and flexible conditions. The staff helped us with late check-in which really helped us to get full day in the city, more attaraction to see and more shopping to do. Undergraound 50 meters from hotel make the hotel really in 10 minutes from major Stockholm attractions and museums!
I had a very good stay in this hotel. The facilities were amazing, particularly the gym and sauna facilities. It is also conveniently located in central Stockholm so all the major attractions are within easy reach.
Staying at this hotel over Christmas and new years weekend was a very pleasant experience.
Location is great and the hotel is overall a very nice one.
I stayed for 11 days and out of those days the 2nd elevator did not work. I found that annoying since waiting for the elevator could take up to 5-7 mintues.
I understand that getting an emergency repair is costly, but when you have a full house right after Xmas - you need to tend to this.
Stockholm’s poshest neighborhood was once home of the Royal family’s horse stables and armies. It’s located in the area north of Dramaten, the off-white and gold theatre where Ingmar Bergmann got his start. Shops like Svensk Tenn offer classic Swedish design while Östermalms Saluhall provides an indoor gourmet food market.
