This hotel is close to Gamla Stan and is a stylish boutique hotel. Plenty of choice for breakfast and helpful staff. Only one negative which was the size of our attic room, bit small for a double when an occupant is quite tall.
I stayed at the grand hotel for 6 nights. It was a five star experience when it came to the buildings condition, staff service, and food. What really stands out is their spa, which is a must to try. If one has a chance, I also highly recommend the massage.
The only negative thing is that the hotel does not have a coffee machine in the rooms, which is quite annoying for us coffeeholics.
All in all best place in town without a doubt

Rich in history and tradition, built in 1874 * Prime location in Stockholm by the waterfront facing the Royal Palace and the …More
Berns is one of those that manages to offer a boutique hotel experience at reasonable prices. The rooms, spaces, and service are all flawless. The level of comfort is unmatched by corporate hotels. It is beautifully maintained and with great attention to the guest's comfort. I wish there were a Berns everywhere I went, but it's singularly is what makes it so special.
This is not a luxurious hotel where you spend $50 for breakfast and order room service every night; rather it provides a more experiential stay that encourages you to explore your surroundings. The rooms are small, yet exceptionally functional. The central location allows for you to have easy access to all Stockholm has to provide. I never stood in line to check in, out, or for customer service. If you want to have a bunch of people wait on you, this is not the spot. Breakfast ($20 for two on Expedia with reservation) was a traditional cold smorgasbord with good coffee and fresh fruit smoothies; can't go wrong. Also, it shares the block with Vete-Katten (go to this unimaginably magical bakery where unicorns roam free).
Very good hotel in a very good location; nearer to every facility & service we needed. Within walking distance of the Train station and Express Train to Arlanda Airport.
It is CENTRAL HOTEL indeed and central to everything needed to make our stay in Stockholm a worthwhile experience.
Would I stay there again? Definitely, yes!
Excellent Customer service delivery by Sofia, the kind of staff you'll desire to meet at the front desk, gentle, charming & absolutely courteous.
At the Hotel Restaurant, you'll love to meet Peyman & Maja who made dinner a must have experience. Professionals in their own right offering you pleasant and warm smiles in addition to scrumptious delicacies. Breakfast was fantastic experience with Moll providing quality assistance and support!
The experience was topped up with the Duty Manager that was on hand to calm nerves and ensure every service you deserve is not denied you with a complimentary offer of a drink. As a couple, we were checked into a twin bed room but later got changed to a room with double bed. Downside: the double bed room and its bathroom was too small compared with that of the room with twin bed. Thank you all. Vi Tack dig!
In all, we had a very pleasant, enjoyable and memorable stay. We recommend Central Hotel either for business or pleasure.
My wife and son stayed in a no frills three bed room. It was clean and quiet. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Gabrielle who checked us in gave us advice on where to eat and showed us the short walk to old town. Breakfast was a highlight! Excellent stay. Looking forward to spending two nights on our return journey.
This is Stockholm’s city center, making it one of the most convenient places to stay. It’s home to the Central Station, Stockholm’s most famous park, Kungsträdgården, and Sergels Torg (think Times Square or Piccadilly Circus). The Royal Opera House and Hötorget symphony hall are also here. Shoppers flock to NK, Sweden's answer to Harrod's.
