"Great location in Gamla Stan - The old Town"
This eclectic boutique hotel is one of 3 in Gamla Stan that is themed around the life of Lord Nelson, his mistress Lady Hamilton and his nautical victories. The Lord Nelson is claimed to be the narrowest hotel in Sweden. We stayed there for five nights and found it to be very comfortable. The rooms were rather small and the decor a bit dated, but charming never-the-less. The continental breakfast was included. It was OK but nothing special. However the staff were always most obliging. We would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

"Great location. One block to T-Bahn"
We enjoyed our 4 night stay. Don't count on parking at the hotel if you have a car. We got two nights at the hotel than had to move our car to secure city parking two blocks away. Breakfast was good, but the Norwegians have them beat.

"quirky hotel, very good location in Gamla Stan "
The atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming and a bit 'grand' homely with the displays of Admiral Nelson & Lady Hamilton memorabilia. Overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay, reasonable value for cost in an interesting area. Helpful reception staff, but not all are very knowledgeable about what to do and where to eat. Rooms are small but with thoughtful amenities, such as suitcase storage shelf over the wardrobe. The double bed was twin bed put together and so was for us unnecessarily large and took up room we would have preferred to have for moving about. More though could be given to bathroom layout, the hand towels are very close to the toilet. We had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the side street, with openable windows (no cooling, except portable fan) so was an interesting view, but could be noisy as in high season there are so many tourists, mostly an extra street down, but noise carried up. The cathedral was one street up, the bells told the 1/4 hour time - which didn't disturb our sleep. would happily stay there again. Good standard breakfast.

"Excellent for a ship converted to hotel."
The experience was fun and the conversion from a ship to a hotel was well done. The staff was exceptional and the ship's restaurant was a 10 out of a 10. A great experience.

"Quiet Hotel minutes from the action"
Excellent food while you have a beautiful view on the river . A sense of history with an old Europe architecture coupled with the moder amenities you would expect of a modern day hotel. Staff is courteous and did I mention that the food is excellent?

"Small hotel in best part of Stockholm"
The hotel is located in Gamla Stan, the original section of the Stockholm. As a result it is in walking distance of all the amenities in this area including restaurants, bars, historical sites, narrow medieval streets with no cars, and close to the metro. The hotel dates to the 18 century with narrow halls and small rooms. Cute little elevator. The hallways have crystal light scones and attractive rugs. An excellent complimentary breakfast is provided each morning with a wide array of items. However, the Economy room is small, little closet space, no chest of drawers for clothes, an old bed, frayed cover on the chair. The bathroom has been renovated, though. Avoid it. Overall, I recommend this hotel if you choose the Superior room because other than the condition of the Economy room, the hotel is nice and in a great location

"Nice hotel, close to everything"
The hotel was tiny and had few amenities - bed and your own bathroom with shower. It was underground so there are no windows and it is perfect if you care more about the city you're visiting and want to be centrally located. You are about 8min walk from Stockholm Central Stn, and can walk to old town and there is plenty of shopping, restaurants and museums. The staff are super friendly if you chat with them. The hotel rooms are underground and above on the main floor is a café. The café has small goodies, drinks and ice cream. Their continental breakfast was very simple. There are no phones in the room. If you're like me and don't care about the room other than to sleep it is fine. They do up keep but don't change sheets or towels. Soap and shampoo are provided in pump which is standard in most European hotels. There is a shelf and a couple of hooks and two hangers for clothes. Plastic cup glasses. But again, I stayed for 5 nights and it did the trick. Again the rate, the staff, and the location are top notch. The bed is soft, but this too is standard in most European hotels, they also operate with twin beds whereas if you're used to US/Canada minimum is a double or queen. All rooms are smaller generally in Europe, so again if you're used to big rooms, this isn't your cup of tea.

"Convenient location."
With this hotel what you're buying quite frankly is the location which is perfectly situated,The old town is easily within walking distance. To arrive at the hotel simply take the subway to Slussen and you'll practically be right at your hotel, easy peasy. You'll be greeted by a friendly, helpful and professional staff member, in fact everybody at the hotel was nice and I really can't speak highly enough of the staff, it was notable. 10/10 The breakfasts are definitely worth waking up for and the length of time that breakfast is open means that you won't be in a mad rush to get there before it closes. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice. The rooms get cleaned every day, fresh towels, emptied bins, bed freshly made, very thorough. No self laundry services are available but a next day dry cleaning service is available for a fee. (Costs more over the weekend) Some negatives: I stayed in an economy room, when I went to my floor the hallway didn't give off the best initial impression, the carpet looked like it hadn't been changed since the 70's and there was paint splattered all over it, it just looked incredibly sloppy. I know that you won't be sleeping in the hallway, sadly enough though the room wasn't in much better shape. All I'll say is that if all you want is a bed then you'll be fine, if however you're expecting luxury of any kind then you'll be disappointed. (No kettle) The shared toilets are small and could be problematic for someone "large" or with a bad back.
