4.3/5 Excellent! (32 reviews)
Restaurant with rooms
"The building is 16 century and lovely. The staff are very nice. The main problem is that the restaurant and bar close at 21.45 every night and is closed all Sunday. As there is no tea/coffee in the room you are stuck for any refreshment especially if a sandstorm happens on a Sunday when it was dangerous ..."
"The hotel is located in the high position so you will see 360 view of mountain and sea. If you book an ocean view suite, the view from bacony is amazing. You are able to see both mountain and sea when you sit by window or at balcony. I highly recommend this hotel."
"Hotel dated bathrooms bedrooms need make over. A fantastic pool and plenty of sumbeds. Some female Reception staff quite rude. Others very nice. Good buffet food always plenty of it. Sofas need cleaning upgrading in public area. But house keeping excellent rooms and public areaa very clean. A good ..."

3.9/5 Very Good! (151 reviews)
Three star hotel uphill from city center
"On my opinion there's not really anything to justify the 4th star. Beds are very basic level. Design, service, etc. Everything is on the level you would expect in a three star. Building is a little old only partially renovated. There seems to be some machines that make some noise, not sure if it's ..."
"The breakfast options were really good. They had really nice pancakes and other dessert options. The views were amazing from my room and from the restaurant. From the restaurant you can see Mount Teide summit as long as the sky is clear. From the bedroom I could see other mountains, beautiful palm ..."

"Great place to stay, apartments are ideal with children as they combine self catering option with hotel amenities. The walk up the hill from town is tough, but the cafe/bar halfway up the steps is definitely worth a stop."

"Enjoyed the stay with the family! Great views of the ocean, easy access to the city by foot, spacious rooms, friendly staff, reasonable prices. On the flip side, there could've been more options for vegetarians for dinner."

"The breakfast options were really good. They had really nice pancakes and other dessert options. The views were amazing from my room and from the restaurant. From the restaurant you can see Mount Teide summit as long as the sky is clear. From the bedroom I could see other mountains, beautiful palm trees, the swimming pools, the sea, the main town. The hotel is at a high viewpoint which helps with the scenery. Although this makes the walk back from the main town a struggle up the hill, but the walk is definitely good. It takes about 15-20 mins to walk to town. They have a 5 to 6 free shuttles buses per weekday to Puerto de la Cruz. There's no free buses on Sunday and Saturday is a limited service.
The car park is small, and we'd get back too late for it. But I was always able to find street parking nearby in March. If you're hiring a car, this hotel is ideal as it is not in the main town, where parking is very limited.
The hotel has a very nice gym, tennis court, mini golf area. I was very impressed with the pool area. There are 4 pools and they are arranged nicely around nice trees.
The bathroom has 2 sinks which was handy for both of us. The balcony views were lovely. The beds were comfortable. The hotel room is a little old fashioned but there were still some modern elements such as the bathroom. The hotel is very clean.
I really liked the main lift as you can see it move up from the front of the hotel. The outside lighting was lovely. Overall I'd stay there again. "
"All staff I spoke to were really friendly and helpful. I really liked the pool area as it gets sun for a large part of the day unlike some of the other hotels in the area. You also have a magnificent view of Mount Teide from the sun loungers! There are nice views out towards the sea from the other side of the hotel which I enjoyed from my balcony. I was there in February and the hotel was busy but still did not feel crowded which I really appreciate as a solo traveller. There is free parking at the front of the hotel and an amazing little tapas restaurant (El Camino) only 2 minutes walk away (if you chose not to eat in the hotel). If you want a relaxing place but still close to the tourist attractions then I recommend El Tope."
