"From check-in to check-out my experience was exemplary. On arrival the view of the hotel was stunning. Check-in was efficient and I was soon in my room which was spacious and spotless. Before dinner I went to the (also spotless) bar for an aperitif. Good selection of drinks to choose from, I tried the Orchard Pig cider and was satisfied with my choice. Dinner menu was refined with a good variety. I had a melt in the mouth steak for mains after a Ham Hock Terrine. Service was faultless. I retired to a very comfortable bed and had a pleasant night's sleep. In the morning I went to the (again) spotlessly clean breakfast room. The breakfast menu was very appetising but I only had cereal as I had a long drive home and didn't want to be uncomfortably full. I visited Chippenham to watch a football match and will definitely book Guyers House Hotel when I come here next year "

"Bowood is absolutely stunning. This is probably the 5th or 6th time we have stayed here and every time the service is outstanding. The staff can't do enough for you and it was a real treat to be recognised for a return stay with a bottle of prosecco in our room. The pool area is lovely - very quiet with no issue getting a lounger and the view across the golf course and woods is dreamy! The walks around the estate are stunning with the added bonus of being able to visit the house and gardens. Another wonderful stay!"
