"Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"Lovely hotel with lots of character, great food and drink and wonderful staff. Our room was on the second floor with only stairs access, which may be difficult for some. It was a little dark in our room due to the trees outside and lighting configuration within the room. It was noticeably warmer on the second floor than the first or ground floor and, as lacking air conditioning, may become very hot in warmer temperatures. We had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We would definitely book again."

"Room was ok and probably would stay again for the money I paid. However, my first night there I had no towels. I was told the bar would open at 6 so returned down to get myself a soft drink. They didn’t have any in the fridge so got the last one from the cupboard and it was warm. Google does say there is breakfast but there isn’t. The hot water also took ages. I nearly have up and was gonna report it as no hot water but thought I’d wait. And it eventually between 3 to 5 mins every time. The room needs a lot of tlc."

"We had a 2 night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Faultless service from the staff in all areas and particularly the restaurant. Spa area and all 3 pools are spotless, just enough loungers, more than enough towels and shade - and on a hot day a beautiful place to chill out after exploring Bath. Bar lounge menus and main restaurant menu are good value, food is excellent."
