Just returned from 5 nights at the outstanding Grand Hotel Villa Cora - surely the jewel of Florentine hotels. Not only is it beautifully maintained and comfortable with gorgeous grounds, fantastic furnishings, linens changed daily and brilliant bathrooms (we had two in our duplex suite), the staff treated us all as old friends of the hotel, valued guests and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Breakfast was fabulous - whether the delicious...

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva. The location is minutes from the train station on a lovely pedestrianised piazza, and walking distance to the main attractions. The staff were so welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - we hadn’t booked tickets to the sights but they managed to get us tickets for the Accademia to see the statue of David. Breakfast was fabulous, running until 10.30 on Saturday and 11am on Sunday, so no need to rush out of bed. We spent a lot...

The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Florence. It is a truly stunning location offering tranquility, yet just a 20 minute walk into town. The room was spacious, well appointed and peaceful with all the usual amenities. Staff are very curtious and helpful. The terrace is sun drenched and overlooks a pretty garden and pool. It is the perfect location to recharge after the hustle and bustle of a days sightseeing in Florence.

A stunning location with fantastic views of Florence. Incredibly historic building with unique character.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
This isn't a chain hotel and has some quirks that are completely befitting the character of the property.
Highly recommended.

One of the best hotels I have stayed - small, 'boutique' feel. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff - they seemed to want us to enjoy our stay ! Stayed 2 x one night, so had 2 different rooms - both quite different, but both excellent quality & space. Dinner in restaurant was superb; breakfast buffet excellent. c. 20 minute walk into the centre of Florence, maybe 30 mins to Ponte Vecchio, or use the shuttle bus or taxis. Highly recommended - can't wait to go back !

The hotel is relatively new, but beautifully constructed and features a roof terrace with some lovely views over the city. We stayed in a Junior suite which had a great amount of space for the family, nice bathroom and featured a kitchenette which after a visit to local Co-op or Conad supermarket, was very useful for breakfasts, and the odd evening meal. The hotel also has a swimming pool area which was nice to use and relax after a day sightseeing. The hotel team were very helpful and...

Fab new hotel… definitely different to the ‘norm’ in Florence. Stayed in a ‘Hell’ room - not usually a fan of ‘themed’ rooms, but actually the room itself was very well thought out and quiet. The shower was amazing.
The staff were wonderful - casual and friendly, yet efficient. Breakfast was brilliant - definitely recommend when booking. Really cool and quirky vibe to public areas including a great coffee cafe and covered courtyard. Great location too - close to station and easy walk to very...

From the moment of arrival to a sad departure we were looked after by the excellent staff at this hotel. The bedroom was clean with excellent room servicing every day. Breakfast was full of marvelous choice from cold cuts to fruit to breads to cooked food-bacon eggs sausage etc. with the staff discretely looking after the removal of finished dishes and glasses etc.
Unfortunately the rooftop area was not in use as it was the last week in December but the views were excellent from there over the...

Have just stayed here for one week mid June. Very peaceful hotel, once a mill, with walled gardens, swimming pool and views over the river and weir. Beautifully decorated inside with many seating areas, and a delightful courtyard. Restaurant has awning covered eating area too. Other private areas with tables chairs and parasols.
Room spotless with marble fittings in bathroom and air conditioning, safe and mini fridge. Soft white cotton bed linen and thick fluffy towels.
