Pros: room was nice
Cons: everything
Location: location was good, shops good
This Hotel was terrible, they had no bottle open so had to wait an hour for somebody to find one. Room service food came and it was stone cold, food didn't come at the same time in the restaurant and was cold. Ran out of the wine we were drinking. Awful experience.

Second time at this hotel, rooms in need of redecoration. Staff welcoming and concierge very helpfull regarding parking during the external works which seem to be ongoing. Housekeeping very prompt when we requested bath robes to use the swimming pool. Breakfast had excellent variety to choose from and constantly refilled

Nice Hotel, Staff fab, but it's the little details

Pros: The hotel has been re carpeted and decorated since we last stayed and its a great improvement.
Cons: The bed in 219 was really squeaky when I sat on it. Ditto when I was turning over to go to sleep. Building work and scaffold was disappointing
Location: Notts is a great place, the vic centre is next door to the hotel and the corner house with bars and cinema are a 3 min walk away.
I've stayed at the Hilton Nottingham many times over the last 15 years, the staff are always polite and welcoming. I stay round various hotels in the UK frequently for my job. Let me mention - Mick (reception) and Steve (valet and Breakfast) are a credit to the Hotel and couldn't do enough for us. I recall Steve last time I stayed as he helped us with our bags and gave us some tips on where to go and what to do in the city, what a great guy. I sat down to take my shoes off and the bed in 219 was very squeaky and bouncy, I'd suggest this needs looking at and maybe replace. The room was dark on a sunny day due to the building work and scaffold cover on the outside. I know this cant be helped but it would've been nice to have prior warning before booking, we were a little disappointed when pulling up to the hotel on arrival to see it like that, the covers made the inside Bar and Reception dark in broad daylight. Breakfast was great, everything was well presented and stocked and the staff attentive without being intrusive.

Our first room had blood/reddish brown spots on the white duvet cover and the second room had no hot water for the shower. Could put up with the broken tiles but not cold shower and dirty hair.

Close to shopping

Pros: Location
Cons: Carpets
Location: Shopping and sites
We had a family room. Pullout sofa was in not too good a shape and could have used a new mattress. Bathroom was nicely updated. Carpet could be updated. Walls were thin . Sounded like the people in the adjacent room were in our room talking. Easy walk to the castle.

Terrible

Booked this for my sister and her partner as newly weds, the staff were rude! Didn't help the rooms were tiny and I paid extra for a nice room! No effort made by hotel staff.

A gem in the heart of Nottingham

Staying at the Hilton was a wonderful experience! Paris would be proud! A confortable bed and quiet clean room were only the beginning. The front desk staff were accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable. The pool was fantastic and the included breakfast buffet was delicious. I would be happy to recommend this hotel to friends and family.
