"Seen a few mixed reviews online but unsure why after staying. Room was clean, a little dusty but smelled nice upon arrival and was very spacious. Noise from the rock city venue nearby can be heard from your room but that’s expected and doesn’t bother me. You get your own kitchen area with a toaster, microwave and oven. Shower was okay but the water kept going cold and hot. Overall bathroom was alright, bed was comfy and it’s got a big fridge to store drinks or food in. They don’t serve a proper breakfast here but you can get free croissants every morning from next to reception. They also have a shop at reception where you can purchase various food items, frozen meals, drinks etc. The TV was great it’s equipped with Netflix, bbc iplayer, Amazon prime and more with people still leaving their accounts logged in which I wasn’t complaining about. One of the best TVs I’ve ever seen a hotel have feature wise. Would definitely recommend a stay here it’s not as bad as some people were making out. All staff friendly and polite. "

"An old quirky hotel with aircon in the room - awesome. Old furniture and fittings in room were great. Good shower with all the extras from kettle, soaps, shampoo, a glass in the bathroom for teeth (most places no longer provide). Hospitality had all we needed including biscuits. Only a one night stay for the Arena - 3 minutes walk away - but really enjoyed with a good nights sleep. All reception staff we met were smiley and courteous. Will be back."

"The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, and the air conditioning was great. The shower had great temperature and water pressure. The breakfast buffet was also very good and had many options for food / beverages. The location was very close to the train station, and about a 15 minute walk from city centre. Would definitely stay here again. "

"As expected, clean, great service, quiet. Compliments to the breakfast staff. With a family member who cannot eat Gluten or dairy, and usually stays away from buffet and hotel breakfasts, we were pleased to find a separate area for gluten free cereal and toast, with a dedicated toaster. Variety or dairy free milk, and the chef serving the cooked breakfast was able to immediately and knowledgeably point out the gluten free options. Reassuring and made for a worry free morning."

"The receptionists at the hotel made us feel very welcome, even as we entered the premises. This was followed by being allocated a beautiful room and great breakfast and service from the staff. Quite frankly the service was faultless and i look forward to using the Park Plaza again."
