"From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff member on the check in desk, I was told everything I needed to know about the hotel, like brakefast times and so on. The room was fine for what I needed asI was not there for most of the day anyway, The only problem I had was the bathroom size as it was too small but thats what you get for a single room. The room was quite the bed was just right! The Brakefast was spot on, fresh and cooked just right, coffee, toast and so on, set me up for the day! I had dinner on the Friday night, the burger I had was just what I needed after the train ride I had from Cov. I used the pool, it looked clean and well kept, the temp of the hot tub was spot on, the pool was cold but for me it was fine! In all the hotel, the staff and location was spot on. I would stay here again."

"All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was a refurbished one and it was lovely and clean. The pool was fabulous and warm, also there was a nice scent to it. I had a refreshing facial with Amanda, who was excellent and gave me some much-needed advice. The hotel is in need of some renovation, however it looks like that's already in progress. It cant all be done at once, it's not a criticism as I saw on some of the reviews. They are doing their best. On the Sunday night, I didnt enjoy my meal much. The salad wasnt very nice and the flatbread was hard. On the Monday night there was a long wait as hotel very busy, and not enough staff on. Those who were, however, were very friendly and professional. The dessert was a hot one, yet the custard not very warm. On the whole, I loved it. It was quiet and peaceful. I spent some time in the garden. The room and bed were comfy. All areas were tastefully and cosily decorated/furnished. I wanted to stay another night, mainly to enjoy more spa time & peace. But unfortunately I wasnt too well so had to go home. I do hope to return another time though. I was by myself yet I felt properly looked after by all the staff, so i didnt feel alone. A big thanks to everyone and I definitely recommend this place."

"I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!"

"Ideal place for me to stay when going to Trent Bridge to watch cricket.Just off the M1,car parking and a bus to Nottingham from just outside.Good price,nice room and a great breakfast.Its a nice pub as well."
