Great stay with excellent buffet breakfast Room was quiet although a bit too hot and no air con! Friendly staff and very welcoming

Very helpful staff, location is convenient to city centre, railway station and university campus. Most importantly, they do have free on-site car parking which can put your mind at rest if you are travelling on a holiday. Breakfast is freshly made to a high standard which some other higher stars hotel cannot even compare. Small pitfall is some problem with my television connection

My parents always stay here for short break, staff are all super friendly, restaurant has a great menu with a tasteful carvery. Despite being fully booked we had great service. The spa has been refurbished and is just as great, the pool is outstanding. My parents had come to know most of the staff who always go out of their way for them. One Skype, more seats in the lounge as it's a great place to relax after your meal.

Stayed 1 night while visiting relation. Excellent clean accomodation. Lovely breakfast. Dinner available if required. Good rates

Was well impressed with this 4* hotel. Staff very welcoming, hotel was clean and the facilities were fantastic. A few things that didn't live up to my standard though. 1, the bed was too soft. 2, the flow of the water in the shower wasn't great and it was either too hot or cold. Other than that - fantastic stay. The adjoining restaurant was excellent.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. The only problem was the squeaky floors.

A real surprise - much larger hotel than we expected, but still friendly and cosy. Super comfortable spacious king bed room (they say that they have won awards for the beds and you can actually buy one from them!), excellent power shower, and a modern light atmosphere everywhere. The bar, whilst quite small, was buzzing on the Saturday night we were there. The restaurant was amazing. Great atmosphere, really good menu - adventurous but still with traditional roots - service spot on and friendly with plenty of staff. One of the best 4 star hotels I've ever stayed in. Would definitely go back again - just a shame it is in Chesterfield and not nearer home!

Its one of the best hotel around in Leicester and the condition is excellent as it is new hotel and mostly the guests are of busniess people and the enviornment suits for us as a family on vacation from eastern part asia. The area is peaceful and feel fresh.

Took my wife on a long weekend for our anniversary. We chose this area only because of my wifes maiden name is Newstead and we were visiting the Abbey and other attractions in the area. This Hotel fit all we needed which was basically Bed and Breakfast. Very nice staff and polite and a lovely breakfast.
