Wayford Bridge Inn

8/10 Good
"The room was a little dated, and the bathroom could do with some attention, especially the shower which was very small and had obviously leaked in the past. The staff were very friendly although seemed a little inexperienced in their roles. Big thumbs up to the food, we had an evening meal and breakfast and both were well presented with quality produce. The WiFi was weak in the rooms but OK in the bar area. Overall pleasant stay but could be put off staying again due to the quality of the rooms, but would eat here again if passing."

Olde Hall

Olde Hall

10/10 Excellent
"Firstly, I’m not one to leave a review normally.. so that says everything already. But i believe this place deserves, warrants, needs and is getting one. The place itself, beautiful, clean, spacious , cosy, comfortable, inviting, memorable.. I could go on and on. I am still so happy I choose it and I will never feel the need to try and better Olde Hall. It’s everything and more, and for the price it’s mind blowing. Hazel…. From the moment on arrival.., inviting, happy, helpful, comforting, considerate, available if needed, hard working, takes pride in her home. Hazel basically made it feel like it was my home while she tip toed around us which was unneeded but very very nice and unusual to see. I couldn’t say a bad word about either Olde Hall or Hazel herself. It’s was a pleasure to stay there and also meet Hazel. I want to say thank you once again.. and continue doing exactly what you’re doing. Olde hall will see me again… And to who ever is reading this Trust in this review… you won’t be disappointed! It’s a GEM, all round!"

Peaceful lakeside cottage close to the Broads and beaches

8/10 Good
"The setting of this holiday home is amazing, the view onto the lake will be unforgettable! Also the surprise of seeing the swans' entire family in the lake and sunset view will stay in our memories. The house itself is good, a bit in the 90s style, but very nice living room space and terrace. Bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The biggest downside was that hot water that was coming and going and many times we ended up with cold baths which was disappointing. Internet completely absent (no WiFi) and reception in general very poor so we were quite cut off from the world. Kitchen was lacking some essential tools like a colander, we have been provided with only 1 towel per person, only 1 toilet paper roll and 1 drop of washing up liquid, so on this side not very generous privision. Also the laundry room is outside the house and for drying they charge 1 per 15 minutes with coins, so essentially not usable.Overall happy, but there could be some improvements!"

Royal Hotel

Royal Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Stayed at The Royal Hotel in Mundesly(its not Norwich at all) for three nights over the August Bank Holiday. We cannot praise it enough. The staff were excellent. We witnessed customer care that went above the norm. We would name Will, attentive, friendly and efficient in the bar and restaurant area. The chef, Nita, who looked after breakfast and the restaurant. We witnessed her offer to fetch an elderly guest toast despite being very busy. She interacted with everyone whilst cooking, clearing and serving all with a friendly smile. We saw with a lot of the staff, the excellent Sunday carvery, thete were staff on the floor helping everyone with their meals. Unable to name them all but thete was, I think, two Emma's who were engaging with customers. It was so nice to see. The food was excellent, the aforementioned carvery, the breakfasts and we have to mention our Ssturday night meal...they have a Thai menu, I believe cooked by Nita. It was fabulous. Plentiful fresh and tasty and, again served by some well trained young staff. Our room was clean The bed large and conformable and an excellent shower. We like a short break to supplement our foreign holidays each year and we are pretty certain we will be returning here."
