The Leas Beach Park
10/10 Excellent
"perfect for a relaxing weekend, for food we went to the waitrose which wasn’t far about 15 mins in the car and there was a bar/ cafe and fish and chips 20 mins down the beach.
the local premier shop had all we needed, really nice place to sit on the beach "
"Lovely property based in Dilham. Ten minutes to Wroxham and Stalham where you find supermarkets. The house is in a rural setting overlooking fields and an enclosed garden. Very spacious and modern. Plenty of room for our group. Garden is lovely, with the hot tub. Really enjoyed the peaceful setting. Log burner in the lounge which we made use of one night as it was chilly. Plenty of logs in the shed. Would recommend this property. Only niggle for us was lack of pub in walking distance (Cross Keys too far for my elderly mum!) but we enjoyed our stay. A little surprised at no welcome pack on arrival (ie: a pint of milk and some bread) which we have had in previous VRBO properties. "
The Lodge, Alder Country Park - onsite swimming pool and private hot tub
6/10 Okay
"Overall the lodge is nice and spacious and generally clean. However there are lots of cobwebs and the outdoor area is very tired looking and unkept, there are plastic rugs on the balcony to give privacy but they are falling apart and look very tatty, and the decking is in need of a good clean and sweep. The most unfortunate thing is the location, we had no idea the park is so close to a chicken farm and the smell in the air is awful! We had an issue when we first checked in as the fridge smelled terrible and was not working. This was dealt with but it took 2 days to resolve and the fridge was replaced. So no working fridge for the first 2 days of our stay. Also the pool area is lovely, but very limited on opening times. I got asked to get out of the pool 5 minutes before it was closing. "
"The struts beneath the bed cam away from the frame and I was not offered a refund or a discount - booked for x2 night stayed one!
Phoned the owner who was very off-hand.... "
Peaceful lakeside cottage close to the Broads and beaches

"Everything you need. Doesn’t have Wi-Fi or good signal for your phone but it didn’t bother us as we were out and about exploring the surrounding countryside. I would recommend if you want a peaceful holiday."
