Large hotel, car needed to get about the area

Pros: Corporate feel
Cons: Air conditioning
The rooms have everything you need but air conditioning, it was very hot and we were unable to open the windows because of the window restrictors

Great location, friendly staff, just ok for kids

Pros: Location, big pool Super staff in reception, restuarants and bar!!! 10/10
Cons: Access times for hotel guests with children to pool could be a little more flexible
Location: Handy for metro to town, Rising sun nature park, stephensons railway museum, aquarium, beautiful seafronts Whitley bay to Tynemouth great food/pubs
Wonderful, personable and engaging staff. Very helpful with ideas of things to see and places to go. Lovely hotel well situated for beach and metro to town. Felt very pampered and rooms large, supercomfortable, not too hot, spacious. Great showers. Fab gym for fitness buffs and 25 m pool with lots of daylight. Limited swim times for children in the pool which we had not known beforehand. 9-12 and2-6. Staff stricct on this which was a shame as it does not always fit in to holiday makers day but accomodates the regular, local gym users. No babysitting service. Great for couples . We were the only family there but english schools dont break off for 2 weeks. Food very good.

The Staff went out of their way to accommodate me and make my stay pleasant, good quality hotel with nice rooms and facilities. My only feed back is I book on hotel.com and did not get a receipt I need to claim back expenses at all, or to the value I paid (please try sort) - thank you

Another top quality village hotel resort.

Overnight business trip. Love Village hotels for the quality gym and pool facilities. Always go upper deck for a few quid extra. Can't fault VH Newcastle, probably one of the best hotels in the country, definitely in the price bracket.

Check in

Posted 21-May-2016
Check in took 1hr 45min due to expedia not passing reservation over and lots of phone calls to expedia and hotels computer system. Hotel staff very pleasant . Upgraded room for inconvenience. Room was great for length of time I was in it . Hotel had a good feel to it

Depends what your looking for.

A note able taxi ride away from central Newcastle but the metro is a short walk if you prefer. The room we specifically had didn't seem to have been refurbished. It was hot and stuffy. The gym and spa facilities were extra as was breakfast - not explicit on hotels.com. Friendly staff. Range of eating & drinking venues on site. Also run theme party nights if that's your thing.

One of the better Village hotels but as usual, check in/out very slow
