"Pool closed, any food you had to get from sister hotel. Tried to get ice for my drink I had but at 22:20 was told bar closed so said just need ice but apparently no ice and was advised to go to sister hotel! Hotel currently undergoing renovation I believe and our room was in nice condition and bed comfortable and for what you can pay ( only paid £42 for 1 night) and had a double room with part sea view I think it’s definitely worth the money. Would consider staying again but if you can afford more then worth staying at sister hotel The Carlton as pool and restaurant open."

"This hotel gets a lot of bad reviews but for a budget hotel it was great for a 2 night stay with my daughter for a cheerleading competition. The room and hotel decor is dated but this did not affect our stay. The beds were comfortable and clean, towels were provided and tea and coffee making facilities were available in the room. The WiFi worked well and the room also had a small TV which we used a little. The bathroom was clean but there were a few cracked tiles and the tap was quite difficult to turn off. The hotel door locked with an actual key and staying in an annexe building it also had a lock to the main building door which made us feel safe. It was really quiet and the grounds were very well kept. We were able to park our car for the whole weekend for free at the hotel which was a huge bonus and it was a short walk through some pretty gardens into town and around 20 mins walk to the beach. As we had a lot of dance gear with us we did get an uber a couple of times which was £7. There is a COOP and premier shop a 5 min walk away if you need anything. The hotel has a bar and lovely outdoor patio area. We did not have chance to use the pool but it looked great and lots of people were using it. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. For the price you can’t expect the Ritz, we had a pleasant stay and would return."

"This was our third time staying at the Nici and we did have a lovely experience. One thing let it down was the welcome from the reception, there is one lady and every time I have had to speak to her she is miserable.It such a shame as all the others were really friendly but she just had an attitude every time. This has put me off booking again as you feel unwelcome. South Beach Restaurant team were the total opposite, so happy and helpful. They went above and beyond. We ended up having 6 meals there. One thing to improve is kids meals, I think there definitely should be a chicken option and some more veggies added. Harry rocks really need to improve there food quality. Amazing team. But the food was bad, overcooked and veggies looked so dry. The Pool team was amazing, so helpful and kept the area nice and tidy. I would suggest more tables as there was not enough."

"The rooms were large and clean. Only body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. No hair conditioner. No real cupboard, just a few hangers in a sort of cupboard. There was an iron and an ironing board. Breakfast was okay for us, we don't eat all the food there was served (buffet breakfast). They had snacks so we had a pizza. The receptionists were excellent, so helpful. Also the waiters in the dining room were very helpful. It's a good place for one night before a flight or a cruise."
