"Great stay at this gastro-pub with rooms. Room was modern, quiet, comfortable and clean. Had lunch and breakfast at the pub and both were GREAT. Staff were really helpful and pleasant, Paula in particular. Free parking and bus stops to Wrexham and Llangollen 50yds from hotel so very convenient for either. One note of caution if you pack heavily - I don’t think there’s an elevator. All in all a terrific stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. "

"What a unique and wonderful stay we had at the Golden Eagle. Rooms are above the pub (but we had no noise issues). The room and bed we comfortable, the breakfast was really good, and the conversations with the bartender, the owner, and the waitstaff were great. Nice people in a quite location just off a main road through Chester. Stay here!"

"One night stay along with our 15yr old son. All 3 of us stayed in the same room which was very spacious, set out lovely and very clean.
