4/5 Good
"Good stay, but please note the property is under renovation and as of March the floor/reception level had no rooms so if you are traveling with any elderly of someone who can not take stairs, please check in advance. "
"Service was absolutely fantastic. But it’s partly because they have cheap “interns” doing the rounds.
The room was very comfortable, but 1. The entrance light was not working, 2 the shower door gasket is very old and shrivelled, so the water leaks out.
The restaurant food is good to very good, but prices are way out of line. Same with liquor.
The morning breakfast buffet is “free” and there is good variety and choices. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate special requests.
The cultural events and high tea in the afternoon is great. But as it gets chilly in the later afternoon, the bonfires are inviting. But, as I discovered, also very expensive! It might be good for the hotel to light at least one big fire for all guests to enjoy.
All in all, a very good experience, but the property could use a bit of TLC.
Nevertheless, if you ignore the small “issues”, and focus on the beautiful nature surrounding this property, you will have a great time. "
