Great hotel in Musselburgh, close to Joppa and Portobello beach. Lovely staff and great breakfast Busy pub serving meals Booked double room and was allocated huge family room, toiletries included with tea and coffee facilities Bus stop outside takes about 30 minutes to Waverley Station Would definitely recommend.

A great weekend away for my husbands birthday. The hotel is easy to find. Staff, through all levels, were very professional, courteous and made you feel very welcome. Our room was spotless but next time we stay we will probably pay extra so we can try one of the suites. Food was to a very high standard. Our stay at the hotel was amazing! Our favourite part was using the steam room, sauna and pool! All the staff were extremely helpful, kind and friendly which was so amazing! The breakfast was great with a good varied selection which was very much enjoyed! I will definitely be staying again!

Excellent location in Morningside close to Pubs/Restaurants so no need to worry that food is not served on the premises. The rooms are beautiful and cater for all your needs, definitely a warm and luxurious feel to them. The owners have provided a ‘snack room’ for guests which is a simple but genius move on their part which has biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks, water and milk (to name a few) which is part of your price. Am amazing hotel staff absolutely fantastic. Room was large as was the bathroom. Fantastic view of the garden. Free tea and coffee all day. Breakfast was good. Bus stop just outside the hotel to get into Edinburgh city centre.

We stayed here to celebrate my husbands special birthday. From the moment we drove up and saw the impressive ship we knew we were in for a special treat. Everything about this place is incredible. The staff were so helpful and very welcoming. You helped make my husbands birthday treat a very special memory. Thank you !

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

We had a great stay. The staff we very friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, the food was good, and it was very peaceful. It's a £10 cab ride to get anywhere though, so keep that in mind if that kind of thing bothers you and you're not driving (they always came quickly though).

Amazing experience

It was absolutely lovely! Very close to Edinburgh Waverley and some lovely restaurants. Calton Hill is right next door as well. The front desk staff was very helpful, and the room was plush and clean. We wish we could stay longer!

We cannot recommend this property enough! The location, cleanliness,staff,the upstairs bar, everything was wonderful. Its steps away from the station and everything is walkable. We did not get a taxi or uber once because we were able to walk to most of the locations. I highly recommend this hotel. Will stay again if we visit Edinburgh

Wonderful relaxing stay in gorgeous historic surroundings...

We stayed with our 2 boys 6&9 for a city trip in the 24 Royal Terrace. Everything was excellent, great art, very nice staff and they do all time their best to make your life easy. For my older son the best chocolate he ever had 😊. A very nice whiskey collection. All important point for us we get here: location, large room with children, late checkin, clean, top quality, nice boutique hotel ...enough umbrella for all...
