We had a fantastic stay in the Tower at Faside Castle. This is an incredibly interesting property with both a fascinating old and very recent history. The space for guests is huge. We saw a very large sitting room on the website and guessed this was general room for all guests, but it is actual a private room for the exclusive us of the Tower guests only (plus a very large ensuite bedroom, and very large double bed). A great weekend away for my husbands birthday. The hotel is easy to find. Staff, through all levels, were very professional, courteous and made you feel very welcome. Our room was spotless but next time we stay we will probably pay extra so we can try one of the suites. Food was to a very high standard. All in all many thanks to the hotel and staff for making our weekend away an enjoyable one. Christine and Martin

I can't fault the hotel, the staff, the bar, the food or the price. Staff were young but knowledgable. Food was simple but delicious. The bar had inventive twists on drinks (Negronis with port replacing Martini Rosso? A hot chocolate with Remy Martin?) If you're looking for a hotel that is bang in the centre of Edinburgh, look elsewhere. This is in the beautiful area of Stockbridge, 20min walk or 5 min bus ride from Princes St. We'll stay here again. Loved it.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Townhouse Suite which was larger than our London flat! By far the best value for money we have ever got from a hotel room. Staff were excellent and very helpful. The onsite "honesty shop" was also very well stocked with a range of food and drinks with a lovely lounge area to enjoy them in. We have already booked this hotel again for our next trip to Edinburgh.

The quality of the place exceeded my expectations - boutique aparthotel, arranged with great taste, immaculately clean. Everything was werking well - air con can be adjusted to any temperature you want, there are kitchen appliancec in the room: WM, DW, fridge, and even the tumble dryer, plus iron and ironing board. There is a gym at the lower grand floor - small, but all machines are new, and working well. Book with confidence-you wont be dissapointed!
