"A small farmhouse that has been restored with great taste. It lies on a plateau just outside the charming town of St-Remy; just a few minutes drive will bring you to shops, bars, restaurants and petrol stations. There are views to the Alpilles from the top of the plateau and several tracks in the surrounding nature reserve. Inside was plesantly warm during our stay (mid-March), with two reversible air-conditioning units and a lovely wood-pellet-burning stove that heated up the main rooms very quickly. The kitchen had everything you need to make a good meal and of course the view out of the window is stunning! The beds are comfortable (although we found the pillows too soft, but that's a personal thing), the rooms are dark once the shutters are closed. The upstairs bathroom door lies at the turn of the staircase so we used a torch at night. People more than 1.80m high might find the beams and the sloping ceilings upstairs a bit of a nuisance too. These are just minor niggles and did not at all spoil a wonderful week. St-Remy is well placed for trips to stunning places within one hour's drive; we went to the walled town of Aigues-Mortes, the hilltop citadel of Les Baux,an ornithological park in the Camargue to see flamingos and the magical Pont du Gard. Avignon and Villeneuve would also be reachable but we know them well already. Genevieve lives in the big farm next door and is a terrific hostess, quick to reply and solve any problems. A little French would be helpful."

Bar service available throughout the day enabling you to have drinks by the pool. We had a little patio which was lovely to sit out on in the late afternoon. Easy walk in to St. Remy de Provence which is BEAUTIFUL. You could stay here a week and go to a different fabulous restaurant every night. "

"A first class hotel with excellent, attentive service My only complaint would be breakfast. We went down to get a coffee and croissant and the bill was 70 euros. Maybe our mistake for not asking but we were not informed "

"We had a lovely 9 night stay with M. Claude at his delightful Gite. It has every amenity and a wonderful outdoor space to enjoy. The location is ideal to explore the local town and wider area. We arrived very late at night due to our flight being delayed and M. Claude stayed up to welcome us! Highly recommended."

" Charming little hotel in St Remy. Easy parking, nicely manicured grounds, nice pool area. Bit of a walk to town, we preferred to drive, but can be done. Staff very helpful. Breakfast ok- I like fresh fruit in the morning, so was disappointed that the hotel doesn’t take showcase the Provencale summer bounty. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."
