We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum).
The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving.
Although the hotel is on the main road, the small town of Melbourne is quiet and the road isn't busy - even on a bank holiday weekend. There are a number of places to eat nearby including a lovely...

We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome or to be made feel so valued as a guest. The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and everything was clean. We had all of the amenities we needed and more besides. Breakfast was lovely and were offered top ups of hot drinks. Probably one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in a while!

We were looking for somewhere local to a wedding we were attending and this ticked the boxes. The room was adequate and beds were OK. We had a family room for myself and 14 yer old daughter. A double bed and a double sofa bed both of which were made up on arrival. The room was serviced on each of our 3 night stay towels were replaced regularly. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. A little disappointed that there was only a continental breakfast available but it was OK. We only booked...

The Littleover Lodge Hotel

Clean, comfortable and warm room. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of free parking. A generous continental breakfast with the option to upgrade to full English. Evening meal was delicious - a truly homemade chicken and leek pie. They also have an authentic Neapolitan-style pizza oven, so I bet the pizzas are good too. It's not often somewhere exceeds your expectations, but that was my experience at the Littleover Lodge.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which area of Melbourne, England, United Kingdom is best to stay in for convenient parking?
For convenient parking in Melbourne, Australia, Southbank or nearby South Melbourne are typically your best bet. This area boasts modern hotels offering secure, on-site parking, making it a practical choice for travellers arriving by car. Its proximity to the city centre also provides a good balance between accessibility and avoiding the central business district's notorious parking challenges.
If you're seeking a blend of easy highway access and walkability, South Yarra and Fitzroy can also be good options, though parking availability at specific accommodations might be more hit-or-miss. While these areas offer charm and vibrancy, always confirm parking facilities directly with your chosen hotel to ensure a seamless experience.
It's generally advisable to avoid the Central Business District (CBD) if parking convenience is a top priority, as it's often described as chaotic and expensive for cars.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
If your plans change, it's easy to cancel your hotel with free cancellation on Expedia. Just use the "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right hotel in Melbourne with parking. Before confirming your booking, review the property's cancellation policy for complete peace of mind.
