"Absolutely outstanding! Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. A special mention to the wonderful lady at reception who welcomed us — she was absolutely exceptional, so warm, friendly and helpful. Her kindness and professionalism made us feel very welcome from the very first moment. The hotel was beautiful, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. Our room was spotless and spacious, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and everything fresh and delicious. The entire experience was truly wonderful. We couldn’t fault a thing and would happily stay here again. A huge thank you to the whole team, especially the lovely lady at reception who gave us such a fantastic welcome. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"

"I had booked the executive suite for a 60th birthday trip and liked that it was slightly out of Glasgow. I had some issues with this because I had been told it could be made into a twin room when I called but the day before was told it could not. However, Sam on the front desk was lovely and managed to change to a twin room. We were also reminded of our wine as part of the booking. The room was large with a lovely big bathroom. Lots of parking outside. We had a drink in the bar which was lovely and tried to book an uber. Useful to know it’s almost importable to get one and again, Sam came to the rescue and ordered a taxi for us. Had a lovely nights sleep- comfy beds and quiet hotel. I think general wear and tear is quite noticeable throughout the hotel. We didn’t have the breakfast but it was busy in the morning. We also didn’t use the spa or pool but again it looked good. We would stay again if up in Glasgow."

"What a fabulous hotel, first impressions were outstanding. The drive in with the views of the sea and golf course to the very friendly greeting from the front desk. Our room was beautiful, huge and a lively surprise waiting for my whose birthday it was. Our stay was superb and breakfast was first class. Thank you for a wonderful stay.!"
Raven’s Cliff, Motherwell by Marston's Inns

"I love this place, it's a gem! The staff are all incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got caught-up in the London Heathrow meltdown and my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I took a train to Motherwell the next day. I called to explain and they were very accommodating of me missing my first night. Today I stated the West Highland Way trek. The Motherwell train station is a 1 hour train ride from Milgavnie (a starting point for the West Highland Way). Motherwell turned out to be a very affordable place to stay. And the food and drink menu at their pub is awesome, they have EVERYTHING! I can't say enough good things about Raven’s Cliff. Ok, one more thing, there's a huge park Strathclyde near the hotel, I spent probably 1 1/2 walking around this beautiful park. Downtown Motherwell has a charm to it as well, not a "fancy" feel but a charming feel."

"Just a quick overnight stay as I needed to be in the area for work. Lovely room overlooking a green park area. All staff were lovely and very attentive, especially the restaurant team. Had dinner in the hotel and good choice menu with delicious food, complements to the chef! Good bed and bedding, being critical, there was some mold on the ceiling and top walls in the bathroom, over the shower. I would definitely stay again."
Fairfield House - Ayr

"The hotel decor is tired and there was a lack of info in our room ie how to use tv stations. The pool area lacked signs to know where to get towels, what was the procedure for using the pool, sauna etc., we had to ask. Staff were very helpful and pleasant It would have been useful to have local info provided in our room. Having said all this, we would go back. The food was excellent and catered for my gluten free needs."
