Great value, decor a bit tired but considering my room was above the restaurant, I didn't hear a peep. Just beware they don't open til 5.30pm

Disappointing
Despite the fact that the staff are very chirpy and welcoming this establishment cannot be described on the whole as anything above average. On Monday's (my check-in day) there is no food available at all. So not much of a hotel in that respect. Bed rock hard, pillows wafer thin, toiletries very cheap, damp patches in the room and a window blind that was ineffective and filthy. The village is lovely so it was such a shame that the hotel did not meet expectations and I really can't agree with all the 10/10 exceptional reviews. Is it value for money? Yes. Can't complain at £65 plus breakfast but It simply is not exceptional in my experience.
The owners of this hotel are the best part, so friendly and helpful. Room was really comfortable, a great shower. you do need to ring up if the advertised check in time isn't suitable, as they can probably accommodate you earlier.
Easy to find, central in a beautiful quiet Somerset village/town. Available free parking, wonderful hosts, clean comfortable room, super food and choice of drinks. Local cider. An excellent breakfast. Nearby shops. 14th century NT property near. Super church. Well done 👍
The customer service was amazing from start to finish. The manager was extremely welcoming even though I turned up very early for check in. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was cooked to order - fresh and tasty. Dinner was delicious.
The room and bathroom were spotless. The bedroom was large with extra pillows, extra blanket and plenty of tea and coffee. The shower over the bath was powerful although May have been uncomfortable for a tall person. The bathroom has soap and shampoo.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, hosts were very helpful and friendly. We had a meal in restaurant which was lovely.
Definitely woukd return,, stopped here on our way to Cornwall
Very good service and attentive, at breakfast we asked if they had soya milk they didn’t but this was not a problem 10mins later it was on our table after they popped out to the shops. Fantastic service with great customer focus.
An old style hotel but very clean and very good service. Breakfast was excellent. Was very convenient for our family celebrations. Only need is to check time of accessibility on arrival.
It was good to stay in a hotel with history and character. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A bit of a climb to the bedroom but that is to be expected in a property of this age. Good to have free parking and positioned in the centre of the village. Only downside was the firmness of the mattress on the double bed. We did however have single beds in the room as an alternative. Would stay here again though.
A wonderful stay with friendly owners and staff. Rooms were large, location was close enough to Yeovil station and food was great - had dinner in the restaurant and breakfast included.
Terrifically helpful and friendly staff. Very comfortable, spacious room. Loved the bathroom - had a lovely bath as well as a shower. Located in gorgeous Martock. Breakfast was an unexpected bonus.
Fantastic hotel with super friendly staff that will go out of their way to help in any way they can. Excellent atmosphere and top quality food and service, can not recommend The White Hart enough.

Comfortable if a little worn in places, good bar and food.
We arrived at the White Hart around 4 pm to find it shut until 5.30, which is check in time......fair do, I should’ve checked my email with the detail.... so a locked pub and nowhere else in Martock open except the church. At 5.30 the pub opened its doors and we were shown our room. First impression was the smell of cooking fat as we ascended to room 11 at the top of the stairs. The room was a good size but walls very thin and next doors plumbing clearly audible.
Next morning we discover that the shower had no hot water and staff apologetic.
We paid an additional 4.50 for a full English breakfast which was good value but I think should’ve been included in the £80.00. On departure we were given a 25 per cent discount which we thought reasonable.
Pleasantly surprised by quality of hotel including the staff welcome, the room and facilities. Good range of real ales and excellent menu. English breakfast upgrade worthwhile.
