Lovely location very historic and beautiful place. However, we arrived during the August Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday) and were very disappointed to not be able to get a table in the restaurant for dinner that evening. We weren't asked on arrival if we required a table either, so I am guessing they were already fully booked. It is most unusual not to reserve a table for guests but I was told the capacity of the restaurant was 60 and there were 160 people staying! People had come from far and wide to be there which can only be a reflection on the quality of the food. So well done for that. Clean, spacious rooms. Would definitely go back.
